With more people dependent upon laptops or stand-alone LCD displays for their computers, it is about time that somebody did a review of the various policies about dead pixels.
The folks at Tom's Hardware have once again done a nice job of putting together a variety of information as well as doing some info gathering on their own..
The result is this review of ISO standards, policies for individual companies, and their suggestions.
A few hints: many companies say they don't subscribe to the ISO standard or have no official hard-and-fast policies on replacement (Apple is one of those), but they do have some good tables about who does what.
