Ozone and Pesticides, together again, but in a different way

Many people know that there are pesticides that have been eating away at the ozone layer (along with other useful chemicals like Freon and others). In an odd twist, researchers in Indiana have determined that Ozone itself can be used as a pesticide when used on grain in gr, in elevators.

We won't ask where this idea came from, but the experiment, described in this article in the Mercury News. involved pumping the gas into a grain elevator to rid the grain of bugs that commonly infest grain awaiting shipment.
