The Register is reporting in an article that Microsoft has a problem with it's Office 2000 products that is causing people who have site-licensed version of the product to register or be cut off from using the product.

To add insult to injury, it appears that after the grace period, the copy protection scheme has a bug that prevents the prompt for the key from being shown, thus making it more difficult to enter a valid key, assuming you have one.
