CNN is reporting that a California 20-year-old has been sentenced to a year in jail and fined $2,000 for posting information on building bombs to his web site linked with protests on foreign trade.
This is a sticky little case. The man entered into a plea agreement which means that he wasn't found guilty by a jury, but the judge went beyond the 4 month sentence suggested by prosecutors in the agreement and sentenced him to a one year penalty.
The web site reportedly was anti-WTO and anti-World Economic Forum, and the perpetrator had been arrested at the anti WEF protests in New York in 2002.
