An article from Apple's site describes using Maestro (a program used by NASA scientists) to look at raw data from Mars. Here's the basics of what you need to know to look at the data from a Mac or PC.
The Apple article describes doing it for a Mac and does a pretty nice job. You can read it, or do the following:
- Download and install the Apple Java3D and Advanced Imaging Extenstions
- Download and install Maestro
For Windows:
- just download the Maestro program and install.
Once you have the software, it's off for the data sets and then go have fun.
