The New York Times is reporting that Bill Moyers and others are asking The History Channel to open an internal investigation into a documentary aired last year accusing former President Lyndon B Johnson of participating in the assassination of former President John F Kennedy.

The row is about a show entitled The Guilty Men which aired in November on The History Channel. The show is part of a series entitled The Men Who Killed Kennedy (although that particular show isn't listed in this catalog listing.

At this point, based on requests from various notables, including the heirs of the former President, the History Channel is considering taking some action, but hasn't announced what action they will take. For their part, they indicate that they had aired quite a bit of conspiracy theory for the 40th anniversary of the assassination and don't claim that any of them are any more factual than the others.
