An article on MacCentral reports that programmers have "developed a way to let people copy" songs over the internet using iTunes.

For those who have used the server inside of iTunes, you probably already know that this can only be used to serve up songs for which your computer already has a license. If you try to share a song purchased with iTunes, the recipient must be using an authorized computer, or they won't be able to hear the songs.

However, I'm sure this will create just the FUD necessary, while contrasting the technological opportunity with the real-world benefits of the sales of songs over the internet.
