Many of you know that I don't usually put personal information up on this site. However, I have made the occasional exception for pictures of particularly good trips and so forth. Here is another such exception.
On Christmas night, in front of the lit tree and the crackling fireplace, Carol Wegman agreed to be my wife in a ceremony to be held some time in 2004. For those of you whom we've not been able to tell in person, our apologies for the impersonal web announcement - we've had our hands full getting the news to family and keeping up with the holidays.
This is a very exciting time for us and we're looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together. Specific wedding dates, etc. are still up in the air, but we are moving forward on the planning.
For those who haven't yet met Carol, she's a wonderful person who, while being very independent, shares many of my interests, including movies, music, travel, and hiking.
We met in 2003 initially at a movie showing at my house and then reacquainted ourselves in May during a number of movies with the usual movie crowd and things progressed from there. Late summer we traveled together with friends to the Grand Canyon and had a great time, while becoming even better acquainted.
