CNet reports that Cisco has confirmed previous reports that there is a flaw in Cisco's IOS software that can result in denial of service through routers running the software.
It appears that there is a sequence of packets that causes the router to believe that its queues are full and causes it to stop processing packets for particular interfaces.
The company says a fix is now available, which should be obvious from the number of large networks scheduling emergency maintenance windows over the last few days.
