Apple's financial climb upwards is continuing apace, with the company landing a $3.68B revenue quarter. The computer maker also announced (more importantly by my standards) that unit shipments in the Macintosh line are up 48% from the same quarter last year to 1,236,000 units. [CORRECTION below]
This average of nearly 5M units a year puts Apple on track for a 6.6% share of the overall personal computer market (Excluding online sales), according to an article from MacRumors.
Correction: The obvious piece missing from this in the original form was that these numbers exclude online sales, which makes the numbers pretty silly, as far as I can tell, which is probably why I hadn't found them anywhere else.
